With the new year, I have been reflecting on the past year of the Mommy Standard Time blog and making some goals for 2019. One of those goals is to do more with Pinterest.
During my increased time spent cruising pins, I noticed that a few bloggers shared their most popular blog posts of 2018.
I was intrigued.
Since I have never thought of my blog in terms of having “popular” posts, I had never actually looked at that part of the analytic data for my blog.
So I decided to take a look. It was fun to see what most people were reading on Mommy Standard Time last year, and I thought you might find it interesting as well.
In true “Top Ten” fashion, we’ll start with the fifth most popular post and work our way to number one.
#5 – HOMEMADE DRY ONION MIX SUBSTITUTE
I love this DIY mix! And apparently so do a lot of you readers! It has a lot of good flavor and I use it ALL the time to season things in a hurry. It’s a great time saver! In fact, just the other night I used it to quickly flavor a “clean-out-the-freezer” stew. It was delicious!

#4 – QUICK AND EASY CHILI
This is another one of my favorite recipes, so I wasn’t surprised to see this make the list. This isn’t a fancy chili by any means, but it is perfect for topping hot dogs, baked potatoes, and fries!
This simple chili is a staple around our house. You can read the post here, or pin it below.
#3 – MEAL PLANNING WITH DINNER THEMES
This post was one of the first ones I wrote for the official “launch” of my blog, so it is nice to see one of my “babies” finally getting noticed.
I love meal planning with themes because it narrows the focus of meal planning, which saves a ton of time! This post has a bunch of examples to get you started.

#2 – INSTANT POT CHEESY QUINOA WITH BROCCOLI
Yum! I love THIS one, too!
In reality, it takes so much work to get a recipe “blog-ready,” I really have to think you’ll LOVE a particular recipe before I decide to share it online.
Because the truth is I’m not a food blogger. So you can bank on this…if I go to the trouble of sharing a recipe, it’s primarily because it is super-ridiculously quick and easy, or it’s delicious.
This recipe is both.

#1 – WHAT YOU ACTUALLY NEED FOR MASTECTOMY RECOVERY
Honestly, you guys…
This post is the sole reason why I continue to pay for this piece of internet real estate.
It has been read by thousands of women who are searching for the same information that I was looking for just a couple of years ago. I have been touched by the number of breast cancer fighters who have reached out to me in gratitude for this information, just as I was so grateful for other bloggers who were willing to share their stories.
It has been humbling, to say the least.
But seeing this particular article listed as the most-read post on my blog lit a fire in me to reach even more women this year.
Because I have more to share.
More about cancer. More about motherhood. More about saving time and savoring moments.
And my goal this year is to continue to find those who want to hear what I have to say. My dream is to build this tribe of ours: Moms who continue to fight for that balance between saving minutes and savoring moments; women who know first-hand about this little time zone of ours–where the days are long but the years are short; survivors who want to savor the life that they fought so hard to extend.
Ultimately, I just want to continue to help people through sharing my experiences.
So THANK YOU for helping me connect with more people who could benefit from my content.
THANK YOU for reading and for sharing my posts.
THANK YOU for your support.
It means more than you know.
I enjoyed seeing what people are reading on my blog, so I think I might include a list in my monthly newsletter. This newsletter will also be your ticket to the blog’s latest news, including the log-in information for my upcoming printable resource library. Sign up right here to make sure you stay in the loop!
